7th CPC Pay Matrix for Defense Personnel

7th Central Pay Commission has come into effect from 01.01.2016. The 7th CPC had recommended for a Pay Matrix system for central government employees in place of Pay Band and Grade Pay System. The 7th CPC Pay Matrix is applicable since 01.01.2016. The 7th CPC Pay Matrix Consists of Level 1 to 18. Levels start from Cell one and may go upto 40th Cell(upto Level 10B). After implementation of 7th CPC the Pay matrix was revised by the Finance Ministry OM dated 16th May 2017 with some modification in Level 12A and 13 and in number of Cells which was made similar to Civil Pay Matrix.

7th CPC Pay Matrix for Defense Personnel

The 7th CPC Pay Matrix for Defence Personnel is given below. This is revised pay matrix. The revision was done by the Finance Ministry OM dated 16th May 2017 with some modification in Level 12A and 13 and in number of Cells which was made similar to Civil Pay Matrix.
